First Holy Communion 2019
Our First Communion children will begin preparations to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion in December 2018. They will be guided by Father John, Miss Reilly, Miss O'Neill and Mrs Farrell and supported by the rest of the parish and staff in school. The children work very hard at home, in school and in the parish to ensure that they are fully prepared to receive Jesus into their hearts.
The children are invited to participate in a Mass of enrolment along with their family to make a commitment before God that they and their families will take on the responsibilities placed before them.
During the program, the children will first complete their ;Loved and Forgiven' book to
prepare for Reconciliation. Then they will complete their 'Meet Christ with Joy' book to prepare for Holy Communion.
If you decide to enrol your child in the Sacramental Programme, it is essential that you fully support your child as they prepare for this important milestone in their young lives. You can do this by working together, praying together, attending parents meetings and most importantly attending Mass together.
We acknowledge that you are the first teachers in your child’s religious development and act as role models for them. We will endeavour to build on your example as together we prepare your child for the sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion.
